2008 Rides & Events Dates

 

JAN....Snow rides.....will ride when we get some.....watch forum board for postings.

FEB 9.....SWEET HEART RIDE....on park ride will leave from the N.Evarts RV site at 10am SHARP. A Steak dinner with all the trimmings/desserts will be held after the ride at the RV site as well...Event chair, powhiteboy, buddman44 Update..the church beside the High School, will serve up another fine 5.00 breakfast, starting at 8am-10am, eggs, sausage, biscuit/gravey, pancakes, juice, coffee.

FEB 23....WINTERFEST...We have an invite from Soggybottomboyz ATV club to join them for a weekend ride at Brimestone...camping and motels are in the area as well...with community campfire each nite. Need more info contact Bellman or Nascar on our site.

MAR 15TH......Club appreciation dinner, 7pm, Evarts High School Lunch Room. Details to follow....rides on park leaving from the N.Evarts RV site at 10am. A CURRENT DUES CARD IS REQUIRED....SPONSOR KYO ENTERPRISES INC. Event chair, Ma Bell & Bellman

Mar 22nd, Mud 4 Blood/Chili Cook Off........ At the Verda event field, starting at 10:30am to 4:30pm, the Ky Blood Center will be set up for donations again, also the 2nd annual Harlan Co. Chili cook off...open to all, you can make your chili on site with your cooker, or make at home and bring to the field. Come donate to the blood center, have some good food, demo rides by the Ridge Runners and Mtn Crawlers all day long.

APR 12.....Ramp Festival/Bean Dinner Ride..... On park rides leaving at 10am N. Evarts RV site...serving starts at 5pm, Fried onions/sausage, pinto, white, green beans, fried taters, fried maters, corn bread, and lady RR FAMOUS desserts. Hot dogs will be served as well...Update..the church beside the High School will be having yet again another GREAT 5.00 breakfast serving will be from 8am-10am....Event Chair, powhiteboy, buddman44.

APR 26TH...Lightning Bug Ride leaves the N. Evarts RV site at 5pm SHARP....need an extra gal of gas, and snacks. Event Chair, Ridge Runner Staff

MAY 24th.....Annual Memorial Day Pig Roast, at the walking track near park entrance, serving will start at 1pm thru 6pm, with on park rides leaving from N.Evarts RV site at 9:30am SHARP. 10.00 donation is asked...Event chair, powhiteboy. Chop

MAY 31ST....Benefit Ride for Sean Pursifull, Bell Co. Deputy Sheriff that was killed in the line of duty along with his K-9 dog...park and unload at the old Bell Co. high school on Hwy 119, Harlan Road from Pineville, this is where the ride will start from, leaving at 10am, no minimum donation is required...just give what you can as all monies go to the children of this fallen hero....come and wear your club colors and show all of E.Ky what our clubs can do when given the chance, more info needed contact BCO at hollercrawlers@hotmail.com Event chair...all ATV clubs, peeps, and any others that want to come along.

JUNE 13,14...Summer Stampede, Verda Event Field, rides leaving on Friday from the N. Evarts RV site, 9am off park 10am on park Pre- Regisretration at the Verda Event field Friday nite, plus bonfire, 7pm to 11pm. Sat. reagistration at 8am...10am obstacle course 3 classes, next up is the Kids obstacle course, 90cc AND UNDER only, lunch break 1-2pm, Mudd bog at 2pm, ladies mad dash for cash right after mudd bog, under the lights, drag race at 6pm, sled pull right after drag race,  all events are 5.00, KIDS EVENT IS FREE, REGISTER: 6pm on Friday, and 8am on Sat. All Events 1st  place trophies awarded, ALL ATV and food vendors are welcome.SPONSOR ATV DIRECT..Event Chair, powhiteboy, Eddie, Tony,Chop

JULY 5TH.....Harlan Co. Honor Gaurd Poker Run, a group of veterans that put on the last rites for our fallen heros. 10.00 per hand, with a chance to win some great prizes also. REGISTRATION: 9am, ride leavs at 10am from the Walking track, near the park entrance, the honor gaurd will serve a pinto bean dinner after the ride also.COME SUPPORT our men and women that have served and serve this day. AUG 16TH.... SUMMER FEST & Side X Side ride, FREE guided rides on Friday and Saturday on and off park both days, Pig Roast on Sat. nite. A 10.00 donation is asked. EVENT CHAIR, CHOP & POWHITEBOY....... RIDE CHAIR, RR STAFF.

AUG 30-LABOR DAY....Family Fest, deep fried turkey/chicken, corn on the cob,cole slaw, lady RR FAMOUS DESSERTS. serving 1-6pm, N. Evarts RV site, our Evarts alumni ride is still a go, leaving from behind the High School at 2pm, the lady RR'S are planning a LADIES ONLY RIDE leaving at 10am from the N. Evarts RV site. OCT. 3-5TH....Fall Crawl for St. Judes Kids, Verda Event field, sled pull on Friday nite 7pm, Sat. drag race, obstacle course, KIDS OBSTACLE COURSE, mud bog, ladies mud dash for cash,, starting at 9am, 5.00 entry fee for all events,KIDS EVENT FREE, REGISTER: 6pm Friday, and 8am Sat. All local ATV and food vendors are welcome. 1,2,3, place trophies awarded..Maybe a piggy roast at Verda Event field as well. SPONSOR ATV DIRECT. Chair Powhiteboy, Eddie, Tony, Chop

OCT. 18TH SAT..Second anual AT&T Ride for Special Spaces..more info to come.

PLEASE NOTE: STARTING THE 2ND SAT. IN NOVEMBER FOR 7 DAYS, IT IS KY MODERN GUN DEER SEASON, PER LANDOWNER REQUEST, AND RESPECT TO OUR LOCAL HUNTERS....WE WILL NOT SCH. A SANCTIONED OFF PARK CLUB RIDE.

NOV 28, 29th....Jingle Bell Ride, the only ride of the year we charge ....cost to ride, a UNWRAPPED  toy.,..... toys go to our Christmas Angel Tree Project for kids that have a ruff time during the year....so we may put a smile on their face come Christmas Morning. Both Friday and Sat..... off park rides leave from behind the Evarts High School at 9am SHARP....on park at 10am, hot coffe, hot chocolate, snacks will be served at the N.Evarts RV site after the rides.The Church beside the High School Will have a $5.00 all you can eat breakfast on SAT. ONLY, serving to start at 8am......SPONSOR .....KYO ENTERPRISES, INC. Chair, Tina Couch..she will take ALL the help she can get...as this is the biggest project all year.

DEC 5,6,7....Christmas parades, in Cumberland, Harlan and Evarts, dress up your toy, then come and enjoy. SPONSOR.....SANTA CLAUSE !!!!!! Chair....SANTA HIMSELF.

JAN 2,3.... 2009 New Years Day ride, leave from the N. Evarts RV site....off park at 9am......on park 10am....Hot Coffe, hot chocolate, snacks, and maybe fire works after the rides. Chair, Ridge Runner Staff
